Between October 2016 and February 2017, ZIP MKE has collected over 1,000 photographs, from over 100 photographers, of all 28 zip codes in the city of Milwaukee.
After a successful opening and gallery run at the Milwaukee Public Library's Central Branch, ZIP MKE's groundbreaking, crowdsourced photography exhibition will travel--with a selection of new photos--to the Tippecanoe Branch the week of February 20th.
On Saturday, February 25th, ZIP MKE will host a community celebration to kick-off the exhibit's stay at Tippecanoe until March 20th.
County Supervisor Jason Haas and Connie Wilson, the Chairperson of the Garden District Neighborhood Association, will help kick off the festivities.
Guest exhibitors include Leroy Skalstad and John Koster.
Anticipate a chance to hang out with your neighbors, meet new ones from around the city, and experience the broad diversity and beauty of Milwaukee's faces and places as seen through the lenses of your fellow residents.
Come celebrate community with us before you head out on the town Saturday evening!
