Tonight, unlock your personal and collective hero as you experience the Hero Journey* by questing with each other to collect the supplies necessary to build a bridge, despite the obstacles and setbacks. It has been clear to ZIP MKE from the beginning that the more we build bridges and actually SEE each other, the more we will connect and UNDERSTAND each other. Our online galleries at zipmke.com house almost 2,000 photos from all 28 ZIP Codes in Milwaukee, and our first two (Dis)comfort Zone evenings brought together people from 17 ZIP Codes.
Tonight, expect solo and group challenges. Friendly competition. Serious reflection and dialogue. Portraits by ZIP MKE (a must). Potluck food and drink. Let's build bridges in the city and have fun doing it!
Who is welcome? Young (middle/high school) and old from all ZIP Codes in Milwaukee and beyond. Let's bring a super-diverse group of heroes to 53208 and celebrate our strengths and our potential to work together to solve even bigger problems!
MORE DETAILS:
* The Milwaukee Flyers Facility is located in the New Hope Church of God in Christ complex. Enter the building on the Walnut St. side of the church; there is a Milwaukee Flyers sign on a door directly east of the church building. Follow the stairs up as far as you can go.
* The facility is housed in an almost 90-year-old gym that will hopefully be heated enough since the Flyers will have been practicing all afternoon. Nonetheless, depending on your cold tolerance and/or health, we advise bringing layers. And if you have a space heater you'd like to bring just in case, it won't go unappreciated!
* Please bring a dish or drink to pass (no alcohol please).
